Winter Update from Hanuman-ji
Greetings from all of us at Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple!
We have been blessed with healthy doses of beautiful rain this Fall. Our Mountain region has been transformed and is now lush with new growth and overflowing ponds and streams. Bear with us as we struggle to keep enough dry areas to sit and blankets to keep you warm while you have darshan of Hanumanji at the Temple.
A reminder….please be extra mindful to always drive slowly and safely up the mountain, especially on the smaller roads as you get closer to Mount Madonna Center and the Temple. Watch for our neighbors, residents, guests and wildlife who may be out on the roadways- especially as it is dark by late afternoon in the winter season.
Planning to have a meal or picnic? Please go to the Ranger station at Mount Madonna Park and register and pay the fees. Using the Park facilities without registering can result in a fine of $45. Please do not park, picnic or litter on Summit Road or in the driveways of our neighbors. We are blessed to have a wonderful mountain community surrounding us. Our long term sustainability depends on our respectful relations with one another and with the forests and mountains we live in.
We hope you continue to enjoy your visits to Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple. We look forward to collaborating with all of you to ensure we maintain a peaceful, clean, quiet Temple and Retreat environment. Please let us know if you would like to be more involved in the Mount Madonna Community and/or in the work of helping us to host our beautiful Temple.
Jai Sita Ram!!! Jai Hanuman!!!
