Navaratri 2021

Navaratri 2021

Please join us as we once again immerse ourselves in the classic, timeless, devotional story of the Ramayana-Ram's Way. This year we will celebrate Navaratri from Tuesday, October 5th to Thursday, October 14th. Due to our COVID-19 restrictions, all events of the Navaratri program will be livestreamed on the Temple YouTube Channel.

As is our tradition, beginning on Tuesday, October 5th, we will hold daily morning Pujas to Sri Ram at the Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple at 7:30am immediately following morning Arati. The morning Pujas will last approximately 1 hour 15 minutes.

Evening recitals of Ram’s story will be held for 9 nights at 5pm just before evening Arati.

On Saturday, October 9th, 3:00-4:30pm, we will be joined by our friends from Ram Leela Media (RLMZ) for a unique Ramayana Satsang combining theater, music and Yoga.

The Navaratri Program will conclude with Vijay Dasami on Thursday, October 14th. Evening Arati will be livestreamed at 5:00pm. Following Arati we will convene for our ‘final battle’ with Ravana. In traditional fashion, Lord Ram will shoot an arrow into Ravana and the great Rakshasa King will fall only to be reabsorbed into the ocean of divine consciousness-the origin of all life forms. In the blink of an eye, the Gods and Demons will once again gather to face one another, compelled by their eternal Fate of enacting the greatest story- the mystery of life and liberation.

Jai Sita Ram! Jai Hanuman!!!
