The Ārādhanā for Babaji falls on Wednesday, September 18th this year, which is the day after the Full Moon. The date of Babaji's passing was Sept. 25th, 2018, which fell during the period called Pitru Paksha in traditional Indian culture. It is an auspicious 16-day period beginning on the Full moon day in late August/ September and an important time for annually honoring ancestors with Tarpanam and Shraddha. Babaji left his body on the second day of Pitru Paksha, the day after the full moon. If one leaves their body during that period as Babaji did, it is considered particularly auspicious. In the case of great Spiritual Masters, Puja and Yajna can be performed to honor these special beings on the lunar anniversary of their passing.

Jai Guru Dev! Jai Babaji!
